Thursday 12/15

You've all worked very, very hard this semester - and the Final Exam results prove it. Great job, everyone!

Enjoy a much-deserved three week break. Spend some time with your family, eat great food, sleep in a bit, hang out with your friends, and recharge those batteries. I'll see you all in a few weeks!

Homework: More studying?

Monday 12/12

We did a little bit of review for tomorrow's First Semester Exam in class today. Be sure to continue on your own tonight.

Looking for resources? You can find a study guide in the Document Locker, and here's a link to the quizizz.com review (class code: 791007) we did in class today, as well as a link to another review and all the solutions.

Please make sure you do all in your power tonight to set yourself up for success tomorrow. That includes getting a great night sleep and eating a nutritious breakfast. You need to be prepared to demonstrate your best.

Homework: Study for the Final Exam

Friday 12/9

You made it! Chapter 6 is complete, and we've now learned everything we're going to be learning first semester.

The only thing left is our Final Exam, which we'll begin on Tuesday. A study guide for the final has been uploaded to the Document Locker.

If you missed class today, please be sure to use the links below to complete a class work self assessment.

Thursday 12/8

Today we wrapped up our look at three dimensional diagonals (which was the focus of Lesson 6.6) and invented a "super-equation" to help us quickly calculate their lengths.

Homework: Textbook pages 369-371 (#1-6)

Wednesday HW Solutions: Student Assignments workbook 6.6 answer key

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

Wednesday 12/7

We investigated three dimensional diagonals today by finding the diagonal distance from the top corner of our classroom to the opposite bottom corner. We'll share back our solutions tomorrow.

Homework: Student Assignment workbook 6.6

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

Tuesday 12/6

Today we examined diagonals in two dimensional shapes (Lesson 6.5) with an awesome Desmos activity! Here are your class codes if you need to finish at home:

Period 1: DG9E3
Period 2: Y2A4P
Period 6: NVE4V

We learned that you can use the Pythagorean Theorem to find unknown diagonal lengths, as long as you can find a (sometimes hidden) right triangle in the larger shape to help you.

Monday 12/5

We worked in MATHia today, and are (hopefully!) nearing completion of the Right Triangles module.

This last module is due next week on Thursday. Are you on track to finish by the due date?

I also shared that I'd be offering partial credit to any student that goes back and finishes any incomplete modules before the end of the semester. Does your grade need a boost? It's not too late.

Homework: MATHia practice
